Since its inception, RDPP has delivered significant and measurable outcomes across Jordan and Lebanon. By mid-2017 (Phase I), it was supporting 33 projects, with an external evaluation noting “impressive outputs” at the project level largely attributed to RDPP’s rigorous partner selection, sustained technical support, and emphasis on local ownership.

During Phase II (2018–2022), the programme expanded its geographic and thematic reach. Over half of the RDPP II portfolio was led by national NGOs, demonstrating strong localisation outcomes. Thousands of youths were trained in vocational and entrepreneurial skills, dozens of micro-enterprises and cooperatives were launched, and access to protection services particularly for women and children—was significantly improved.

Looking ahead, RDPP III (2023–2026) aims to reach between 7,500 and 8,500 direct beneficiaries, and between 25,000 and 29,000 indirect beneficiaries through integrated activities across livelihoods, protection, and advocacy. These efforts build on the programme’s legacy of advancing rights-based, inclusive, and sustainable solutions.

By embedding long-term capacity in local systems and institutions, RDPP continues to demonstrate how locally led approaches can generate durable results in protracted displacement contexts.
