What we aim to achieve.
Objectives for the RDPP
Investing in enhanced self-reliance & protection
The overall objective of RDPP III is to support vulnerable refugees and local host communities in Lebanon and Jordan in realising their rights, accessing greater safety, and achieving enhanced self-reliance, ultimately progressing toward durable and sustainable solutions.
At its core, RDPP is structured around four strategic pillars anchored in specific strategic objectives.
Specific objective 1
Vulnerable refugees and local communities are more self-reliant and resilient
Key components:
- Engage with market and private sector actors for job creation
- Support development of skills and market access for enhanced employability
- Support micro-businesses or freelancing opportunities for alternative and complementary income generation for most vulnerable households
- Engage national and/or sub-national entities for change within the private sector environment or improved access to employment and labour rights
Specific Objective 2
Women and children at risk of exploitation and abuse are enabled to increasingly enjoy their rights, safety and quality services.
Key components:
- Support access of women and girls to social and economic rights
- Address social norms and stereotypes impacting gender equality
- Remove and prevent children from child labour at household level
- Engage with national and sub-national entities to address child labour issues
Specific objective 3
Policy dialogue around durable and sustainable solutions, including livelihoods and protection for refugees and local host communities is promoted.
Key components:
- Conduct strategic evidence-based advocacy towards policy dialogue about livelihoods and protection
- Build and strengthen strategic alliances
- Reinforce national and regional dialogue processes aimed at achieving legal and institutional reforms for displaced and vulnerable populations
- Support partner advocacy messages and identify opportunities for joint initiatives
- Research products and policy documents for advocacy and policy-influencing
Specific objective 4
National and sub-national institutions, organisations and structures supported have enhanced capacity to respond to community needs.
Key components:
- Promote regional and country-specific policy dialogue and advocacy to address specific issues
- Support partners for enhanced institutional capacities around advocacy and policy dialogue
- Engage with partners for improved ability of national and sub-national institutions to address specific issues and needs
- Conduct knowledge sharing events and initiatives for improved learning
